This research is intended to find out how the education financing program carried out by the Nurul Qarnain zakat collection unit (UPZ), what are the criteria for a student to get an educational scholarship, and how effective the impact created by the program on the sustainability of student education. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach. The data collection method in this study was carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study use interactive data analysis techniques consisting of three components of data analysis, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of this study found that there are two education financing programs carried out by this institution, namely the merit scholarship program and the underprivileged scholarship. Both of these programs are financed from the utilization of funds collected in the Nurul Qarnain zakat collection unit (UPZ). The criteria for students receiving educational scholarship assistance are classified based on a priority scale: 1) poor, orphaned, achievers; 2) the poor, orphans; 3) the poor. In addition, there is budget flexibility in allocating zakat funds for education programs. The impact presented by this program is that it can reduce the number of education dropouts on the grounds that there is no cost and so on.
