The purpose is to determine the relationship between learning independence and oral language ability and to identify the implications of learning independence on these abilities. A quantitative method is employed using a Likert scale questionnaire. To determine the relationship between the variables, a correlation test is used, while a simple linear regression test is employed to understand the implications of learning independence on oral language ability. The sample consists of 62 students from a total population of 160 students. The results show a positive and significant, yet weak, relationship between learning independence and oral language ability, with a product moment correlation value of 0.299 and a significance of 0.018.
